Wild Flowers (Landscape)

Western Australia has one of the most diverse ranges of Wildflowers on the planet and more than half of them are unique to W.A. They surely are a sight to behold. How lucky are we to have both the oldest living culture and the biggest collection of these flowers in our own backyard.

I have painted this piece while visualising our women and their children sitting with the flowers, yarning, learning and laughing amongst their colourful surroundings.
