The Pink Lake just North of Geraldton, boasts a pink hue created by the Prescence of carotenoid-producing algae, a source of vitamin A. Hut Lagoon covers roughly 70square kilometres, with most of the lagoon laying a few meters below sea level. It is separated from the ocean by a beach barrier ridge and dune system. From the air the lagoon is spectacular with ever changing red pinks and hues created by crystalised salt, a true natural wonder.
