Linda "Polly" Wilson is a proud Kamilaroi Weilwan woman, born and raised on Kamilaroi country northwest NSW, along with her brother in the small town of Wee Waa. She is a Mum of 4, 2 girls and 2 boys and currently lives in WA, whilst she's following her art journey. She paints to deepen my connection to my culture and to release thoughts that words cannot convey. She had an inner calling to paint for quite some time but never had the courage.
Through the general course of life’s tragedies and struggles, she desperately needed an outlet to release these emotions & stresses, so finally asked her cousin to show her where to start & since that day she haven’t stopped, Art being the therapy her spirit needed.
Her paintings are a contemporary take on traditional art, channelled from my ancestors & using personal experiences and life lessons.
