Kerry Ide

Growing up on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Kerry Ide has always had a great affinity with the natural world and her inspiration for her artworks reflects this. Many of her works are realistic expressions of our beautiful Australian wildlife, however, her innate humour shines through in her illustrative pieces.
Although Kerry has always dabbled in the art world, in 2014, after completing a Diploma of Graphic Design, her interest was sparked by the versatility of the digital medium. She often combines her hand drawn graphite or ink drawings with digital colouring techniques. All parts of the process are hand drawn and the digital component allows her to experiment with colours and create beautiful, contemporary pieces.
Kerry often works with a limited colour palette, which either reflects the personality of her subject, or the mood she is intending to create.
Her designs are available as Giclée prints and she has developed a wide range of greeting cards. Both are available from her website.
